Cobbler Awesomeness!

For Father’s Day my Step-Dad asked me for a cobbler. I told him he could have me bake anything he wanted and a peach or berry cobbler is what he asked for. I went through some of my cook books and not excited about what I was finding I set out to Google cobbler recipes.  Of course Allrecipes.com popped up at the top of the list with an easy recipe and I am so glad I went with it!
This recipe is so easy! I did double the recipe for the batter and went to double the fruit, but in the end I simply sprinkled 2 bags of frozen peaches and 1 bag of frozen black berries on top and in the oven it went.
Because of the extra fruit and double in size the recipe took about 2 hours to bake but when it came out it was beautiful!! It tasted great as well! I did sprinkle some Pampered Chef Apple Pie sprinkle on top for added sweetness next time maybe I will do some brown sugar because there will be a next time. Next week I am hoping to make a strawberry rhubarb cobbler!

Fruit Cobbler:

1 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup milk
1/4 cup butter
2 cups sliced fresh peaches

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Melt butter in a 9 x 9 inch baking dish.
Blend together flour, baking powder, sugar, and milk.
Pour batter in baking dish over the butter. Sprinkle fruit on top of the batter, do not stir. Bake for 1 hour or until golden brown.

I added a splash of vanilla to the milk before I mixed the ingredients together for a little added flavor.  I will definitely be making this recipe again, so easy and really tasty!
