Even Better Cobbler!!


Enjoying the cobbler play I went looking for a close to traditional recipe but the word Praline caught my attention. So I had to look. Wow this is a great recipe, very easy to make and so good!! Of course instead of using canned peaches I peeled fresh and used those and I added a pint of fresh blueberries as well.  We love cinnamon in anything we can so I used cinnamon graham crackers to make my praline.  We loved it so much that we have already made it again! I am sure I will keep making it and I am looking forward to playing with the fruit combinations!! 
I found the recipe on Bettycrocker.com when I went on the search thinking there should be a recipe using Bisquick and found this recipe.  I definitely suggest trying it, so easy and delicious. It took a little longer to bake and I am sure I used more fruit than it called for. I will list what I did and what they call for! 

Praline Peach Blueberry Cobbler: 
1 cup graham cracker crumbs (I used ground cinnamon graham crackers to make the crumbs)
1 cup finely chopped pecans (I have used walnut here as well)
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
2 cans (29 oz each) sliced peaches, drained ( I used 8 fresh peaches peeled and sliced and sprinkled a pint of blueberries on top of them)
2 teaspoons prepared cinnamon-sugar
1 cup Original Bisquick® mix
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup milk
 Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray. In medium bowl, mix cracker crumbs, pecans, brown sugar and butter. Press evenly in bottom of pan.
Arrange peaches on crust. Sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar. In medium bowl, mix Bisquick mix, granulated sugar and milk; pour over peaches.
Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until golden. Serve warm.


  The only thing missing on this baby was a huge scoop of vanilla ice cream, and I can guarantee that we had some for the next cobbler!
